Every new year I set resolutions. Some people say that they’re a waste of time, and sometimes, yes, I do forget about them by about March. But I still think they are worth doing, if only because by setting them you generally have to reflect on the year gone by, and think about what things made you happy or unhappy in the year, and what you want to change or improve on in the coming months.
In 2014 there are a number of personal and professional challenges that I want to take on, but my main goal is to end the year healthier, wealthier and wiser than I started it. I want to develop my skills as a cook and create delicious, inexpensive meals that are packed with goodness. I want to learn what food can do to help build a healthier body and mind. And I want to use the ocean of knowledge out there on the internet to help me develop a regular exercise practice that is varied and keeps me motivated months down the line.
This blog is a way for me to share my journey as I learn more about nutrition and health, an outlet to encourage me to practice my photography skills, and a way to keep me on track so that this resolution doesn’t just become something I say each year but don’t act on.
Here’s looking forward to a bright new year!
