9 links to get you through the weekend

10 links to get you through the weekend

  1. I’m reading The Unmumsy Mum right now, and it is absolutely brilliant. I’ve laughed out loud at least a couple of times, and I’m only a few chapters in. Highly recommend.
  2. Stop thinking of yourself as a work in progress
  3. Minimalism doesn’t necessarily mean getting rid of everything
  4. Never judge yourself by other people’s social media
  5. This prawn curry looks lush
  6. Ugh, I hate the idea of the new Instagram algorithm. I just want to see things in the order that they happened, is that too much to ask?
  7. Ha, I was definitely guilty of some of these before having Theo. And when people without newborns (myself included!) say ‘I’m so tired’ I inwardly (or outwardly) roll my eyes. Bz please. You don’t know what tired is
  8. Jamie Oliver has waded into the breastfeeding debate, and the mummy bloggers are up in arms! I think this article from Sali Hughes pretty much sums up my view. I like him a lot, and think he has people’s best interests at heart, but the way he phrased it was really unhelpful. Breastfeeding is not easy for the majority of people. It doesn’t come naturally for most people I know who have done it, including me. There is so much more that could be done to help support women who want to do it, but I’m not sure if a man, who’s never going to have that experience and clearly has a wife who was able to do it off the bat, is ever going to be that helpful, however good his intentions.
  9. Number 9 on this list = number 9 on this list. Yep. This is the grossest thing in the world, and I do it now on a regular basis. :/
